Motivated by a burden for children in our community who have not had the opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ taught, we began our bus ministry. Most every Tuesday or Saturday a group will scour the neighborhood inviting children to church- then on Wednesday night and Sunday morning we will pick each of the children up, bring them to church and take them back after the service.
Participation from church members has made this ministry flourish. With the help of those who dedicate their time on Saturday and Sunday getting the children to and from church - to those who spend time and money fixing snacks for the children, we are seeing young lives touched on a weekly basis. As Sunday morning service is in many ways visitor oriented, there are many things for the children to enjoy. With the Sunday School classes, and Children's Church, we take great strides to keep the children interested in learning about Jesus.

Many times parents are unable to attend church for various reasons. Sometimes they are working, caring for a family member who is ill or other reasons which prevent them from going to church. Whatever the reason, they 
realize what an important opportunity it is for their children to be in church and to learn about our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Bus Ministry is not limited to just children. We also pick up families and adults who are unable to secure transportation so that they too, can attend church. Sometimes a vehicle is beyond someone's financial means, or they are too old or perhaps, too ill to drive. This should not stop you from attending church.
It is for this reason that Harvest Baptist Church has a bus ministry. So that the children can go to church, even when other family members cannot go.
